CM Shivraj Announces Free Flight Travel for Elder Pilgrims

A special facility will be started for senior citizens from next month. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that from next month a pilgrimage scheme will be started for senior citizens in which they will be allowed to travel by flight. On Sunday, he also told that this scheme will be known as Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojana.

Senior citizens of the state will get the benefit of this scheme

Actually, the senior citizens of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. All eligible senior citizens above 60 years of age are given the benefits of this government scheme, they are allowed to travel by train but now they are allowed to travel by flight. Senior citizens will be able to travel to the pilgrimage places listed in this scheme at government expense.

Although, this scheme was started in the year 2012 June but was postponed for 2 years due to Corona virus. With the help of this scheme, senior citizens who do not pay income tax are taken on pilgrimage by the government.

Some trains have been postponed from February 4 to February 11. These include 49 trains which start from Howrah and go to Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, Punjab and New Delhi. According to the information received from the railway officials, about 49 trains have been postponed, so the passengers should plan their journey accordingly.
