Illegal house of Bhopal school bus driver demolished, who raped nursery student

In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the house of a private school bus driver who raped a 3-year-old girl was demolished. The Revenue Department, Police and Municipal Corporation took this action by taking joint action.

According to the information, the accused driver had illegally encroached upon the garden land in front of the tank near Vasant Kunj Colony in Shahpura area by constructing a house. In the case of rape of the girl child, along with the action of arrest by the police, action was taken to remove the encroachment under the leadership of the district administration. The house was vacated by the family of the driver before demolishing the house. Then after that action was taken.

Collector Avinash Lavania has instructed the SDM and DEO that women staff is necessary in all school buses (in which girls come and go) and along with this, recording cameras are also mandatory. For this, all the buses should be continuously checked. Separate flying squads should be made and buses should be checked from time to time.

The Collector directs that the responsibility of the safety of the children rests with the school management. If there is negligence in this, the management will also be made responsible and legal action will be taken against them too.

A girl studying in nursery class in Bhopal’s reputed private school was raped by the driver of the school bus. The girl’s family told the police that when the girl came home from school, the girl’s mother saw marks on her private part while changing clothes, after which she was surprised. When the mother asked the girl, the girl told that the school bus driver touched her.

After this the family complained to the school management, they denied the allegations. After this the family lodged a case with the police. The police arrested the school bus driver by registering a case under POCSO and section 376. Along with this, the female helper present in the bus was also arrested by the police.
