Ladli Behna Awas Yojana: The Government of Madhya Pradesh is expanding the Ladli Behna Scheme to introduce additional benefits for women in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently released the fourth installment of the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ to beneficiary women and announced the launch of the ‘Ladli Behna Awas Yojana.’ This new initiative aims to provide housing to women currently residing in makeshift dwellings.
Details of Ladli Behna Awas Yojana
The Ladli Behna Awas Yojana mirrors the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with a specific focus on providing housing to women beneficiaries. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed his commitment to improving the living conditions of women in the state by ensuring they no longer have to reside in mud houses.
Under this scheme, women who are currently living in temporary, kutcha houses will receive permanent housing, thereby enhancing their living standards and security.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligible beneficiaries for this scheme are women who have not previously availed of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
- Individuals who do not possess a permanent house and are currently residing in kutcha houses are eligible for this housing scheme.
It’s important to note that the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Awas Yojana must be registered under the government’s flagship Ladli Behan Yojana to access its benefits.
