Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2023: Notices Issued to Non-Contesting MLAs for Government House Evacuation in Madhya Pradesh

With the Madhya Pradesh Assembly election results pending, the administrative machinery is already in motion for the transition of government accommodations. Notices have been dispatched to 30 MLAs who did not participate in the 2023 assembly elections, signaling the conclusion of their legislative terms. These MLAs, spanning both BJP and Congress, are directed to vacate government houses, a preemptive measure anticipating the need for accommodations for newly elected representatives post the December 3 results announcement.

The proactive approach by the Assembly Secretariat ensures a seamless transition for the incoming legislators, emphasizing that former MLAs are no longer eligible for government housing. Alongside serving notices, the Assembly Secretariat has communicated with the state government, urging the vacation of guest houses and rest houses affiliated with various departments.
