As Madhya Pradesh gears up for the Assembly Election on November 17, innovative initiatives have been introduced to encourage voter turnout. Voters are required to mark their left index finger with indelible ink as proof of casting their vote. Additionally, various incentives, including discounts on medicines and restaurant meals, aim to boost voter participation.
Incentives for Voters:
- Discount on Medicines: The Jabalpur Chemist and Druggist Association have announced a special 16% discount on the purchase of medicines for voters who have cast their votes. The discount will be applicable to the first five voters at each drug shop on November 17.
- Restaurant Discounts: To further promote awareness and encourage voting, an initiative offers voters a 10% discount on food items in hotels and restaurants across the city. Voters need to present the indelible ink mark on their finger to avail the discount. Moreover, women voters and senior citizens who cast their votes will receive an additional 5% discount, totaling a 15% discount in hotels and restaurants.
