Madhya Pradesh: Mauganj becomes 53rd district of the state

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed a conference in Bhopal about the legalisation of illegal colonies.

There is an assembly election in Madhya Pradesh this year, before that the local residents of Mauganj News have got another big gift. Mauganj has become the 53rd district of MP. On Independence Day that is tomorrow (August 15) the tricolor will be hoisted at the district headquarters and the Collector and SP will be posted tomorrow itself.

Tricolor will be hoisted on August 15

On the occasion of Independence Day that is tomorrow, the tricolor will be hoisted at Mauganj district headquarters, the 53rd district of the state. Many officials of the government and administration will be present in this program. The orders for the posting of Collector and SP in the new district Mauganj have also been issued by the state government.

First collector of the district

The General Administration Department of Madhya Pradesh Government has posted IAS Ajay Srivastava as the new District Magistrate and Collector for Mauganj district on 13th August. Earlier on the same day, an order was issued to post Sonia Meena, IAS (2013) as Collector, District Mauganj. But this order was canceled by the General Administration Department within a few hours. Ajay Srivastava is an IAS officer of 2013 batch, who was discharging official duties in the post of Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development and Management Director, MP Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Bhopal (Additional Charge). IAS Ajay Srivastava will now serve as the first collector of the newly formed Mauganj district.

Virendra Jain will be the first Superintendent of Police of Naveen Mauganj district, its order has also been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Vallabh Bhawan Bhopal, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Now Virendra Jain has been given the responsibility of Mauganj district as the first Superintendent of Police. Virendra Jain fighter was posted in 8th Corps Vis Force Chhindwara, who has been issued order to be made Superintendent of Police, District Mauganj till further orders. Virendra Jain has previously held the post of Superintendent of Police in Economic Offenses Cell Branch (EOW) in Korea district.


In fact, even before the 2018 assembly elections, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that if the BJP government is formed again in the state, he would make Mauganj a district. The election took place and the BJP was defeated. After which the Congress party formed its government, the head of the state, Kamal Nath, was elected, after which the plan to make Mauganj district was shelved.
