Madhya Pradesh Weather Update: The state continues to grapple with relentless scorching heat, with temperatures soaring to over 45 degrees Celsius on Thursday, marking the highest recorded temperature so far this year. Relentless Heatwave Hits State, Temperatures Soar to Over 45 Degrees Celsius

The heat was unbearable from the early morning hours, with people sweating even before the sun had fully risen. By afternoon, it became nearly impossible to step outside as the streets and markets emptied. Many sought relief in air-conditioned environments and coolers, but these measures offered little comfort against the intense heat.

The weather department has forecasted that temperatures may rise even further, potentially reaching 46 degrees Celsius or higher by May 30. This year’s “Nautapa” period, known for being among the hottest nine days of the year, is expected to intensify the heatwave. Predictions suggest that temperatures during this period could break an eight-year record.

Weather experts highlight that the city’s highest recorded temperature was 47.2 degrees Celsius. This year, there is a possibility that this record could be surpassed. As “Nautapa” progresses, the heat is likely to become even more severe, posing significant challenges for residents and potentially leading to new record temperatures in the state.
