Madhya Pradesh’s Laadli Behna Yojana, a pioneering initiative to empower women in the state, is set to credit Rs 1250 in financial assistance on the 10th of every month. The announcement by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlights the government’s commitment to supporting women’s financial well-being.
- Empowering Women Through Financial Assistance
Launched in 2023, the Laadli Behna Yojana initially provided Rs 1000 per month to women and was later enhanced to Rs 1250. Chief Minister Chouhan, before the elections, expressed the government’s intention to further increase this amount to Rs 1500. The recent electoral success of the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, winning 163 out of 230 seats, has been attributed, in part, to the positive impact of the Laadli Behna Yojana.
The scheme’s consistent financial support, credited directly to beneficiaries’ accounts, has not only empowered women but has also played a significant role in the BJP’s resounding victory in the state. The Laadli Behna Yojana stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to women’s welfare, making a tangible difference in the lives of over 1.31 crore women in Madhya Pradesh.
