MP DA Hike: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Mohan Yadav, has expressed great satisfaction in announcing a significant decision by the state government to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees by 4%. This increment is set to be implemented from July 1, 2023, under the 7th Pay Commission guidelines, enhancing the DA rate to a total of 46% in the state.

This decision, announced just a day before the imposition of the model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, marks a major move by the Yadav government. The finance department has officially issued the order for this increase. Employees will start reaping the benefits of this hike from March 1, 2024 (with payments in April 2024), including arrears to be paid in three equal installments for the period from July to February, which will be deposited in July, August, and September 2024.

The DA increase is expected to benefit approximately 7.50 lakh state employees. Additionally, nominees of employees who retire or pass away during this period will receive a lump sum amount of the arrears. CM Yadav congratulated all the government employees on this enhancement, reflecting the government’s commitment to addressing the welfare and financial well-being of its workforce.
