MP News: The CII-FACE (Food and Agriculture Centre of Excellence) and the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) came together for the sixth session of ‘State Connect,’ an initiative aimed at enhancing food safety and regulatory standards across India. This collaborative effort is part of FSSAI’s broader ‘Eat Right India’ mission, which seeks to reinforce the country’s food safety ecosystem.
CII-FACE and FSSAI Collaborate for Food Safety in India
During the event, G Kamala Vardhana Rao, CEO of FSSAI, acknowledged Madhya Pradesh’s robust food industry and commended the state’s efforts in establishing food streets.
Siddharth Agrawal, Chairman of CII-Bhopal zone, stressed the critical importance of partnerships in building a robust food safety network. This involves capacity-building initiatives, raising awareness, and addressing compliance challenges.
Dr. Sudam Khade, Commissioner of Food Safety in Madhya Pradesh, emphasized the significance of a healthy lifestyle and highlighted the role of local and national efforts in prioritizing diets. He expressed the commitment of FSSAI to promote awareness and maintain food standards for a healthier and safer future.
Inoshi Sharma, Executive Director at FSSAI, emphasized that food safety and sustainability should be a priority for every individual, as it has a significant impact on the nation. This collaborative effort aims to promote a safer and healthier food environment in India.
