MP News : – Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has outlined a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of farmers and beneficiaries of the ‘Ladli Bahna’ scheme. In a statement issued today, Dr. Yadav reaffirmed his government’s commitment to increasing the support provided to women and farmers across the state.
“Ladli Bahnas, this is just the beginning…” said CM Yadav, addressing the women of Madhya Pradesh. “A sum of ₹250 has been given on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, and this amount will be increased in the future.”
Initiatives for Farmers’ Welfare
Dr. Yadav also emphasized the government’s dedication to the prosperity of farmers, announcing several key measures that are in the pipeline:
- Bonus on Paddy: Following the model of the bonus given on wheat, the state government plans to extend a similar bonus to paddy farmers. This move aims to boost the income of paddy growers and provide them with additional financial support.
- MSP for Millets: The government intends to bring the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for millets like Kodo and Kutki on par with that of Ragi. This initiative is designed to promote the cultivation of these traditional crops and ensure fair prices for farmers.
- Bonus on Milk Procurement: In a bid to support the dairy industry, the state will introduce a bonus for milk procurement. This incentive is expected to benefit dairy farmers and encourage higher milk production in the state.
Commitment to Women’s Empowerment
The ‘Ladli Bahna’ scheme, which aims to empower women by providing them with financial assistance, has already seen a positive response since its inception. The initial distribution of ₹250 on Raksha Bandhan is a gesture of the government’s commitment to uplifting women in the state. The plan to increase this amount in the future signifies the government’s long-term vision for women’s empowerment and financial independence.
