MP News: Madhya Pradesh CM Inaugurates Key Rural Development Projects Under PM Schemes

MP News: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the crucial role of villages in the development of a prosperous India, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. In a tweet, Yadav highlighted his participation in the ‘Gram Vikas Sammelan’ held in Bhairunda, Sehore district, where significant rural development initiatives were launched.

The event saw the virtual inauguration of 500 kilometers of new paved roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana through a single click, along with the launch of the Village Road Survey and Planning Tool and the Awas Sakhi App under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). Yadav was joined by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister of State Kamlesh Paswan, who were present to support these developments.

Key Announcements and Inaugurations

During the event, Yadav inaugurated 17 Community Managed Training Centers (CMTCs) across 100 villages in 17 states. In addition, the Singhdev Women Farmer Production Company’s millet processing unit in Sidhi-Singrauli was also launched. These initiatives aim to boost the rural economy and empower women farmers.

Agriculture and Rural Employment Boost

The CM also inaugurated advanced agricultural processing units in seven districts and approved the establishment of five new Rural Self-Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) to promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance among rural youth. He further announced the distribution of a ₹2.69 crore bonus to 52,818 tendu leaf collectors from 14,552 families across 12 cooperative societies. Under the Bamboo Mission, ₹1.04 crore was allocated to provide 2.90 lakh bamboo saplings to 215 bamboo beneficiaries.

Financial Support for Self-Help Groups

To strengthen rural self-help groups, ₹50 crore in revolving funds and ₹100 crore in bank loans were transferred to various groups. CM Yadav congratulated the beneficiaries of these schemes and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to rural development, aiming to uplift the socio-economic status of villagers across Madhya Pradesh.

This ‘Gram Vikas Sammelan’ underscores the Madhya Pradesh government’s focus on infrastructure development, employment generation, and agricultural advancement in rural areas, aligning with the broader goal of building a strong and self-reliant India.
