In celebration of Raksha Bandhan, the government will transfer an additional ₹250 into the bank accounts of women on August 1, 2024. This amount is over and above the regular ₹1,250 monthly aid provided under the scheme, bringing the total assistance for the month to ₹1,500.

The extra ₹250 is intended to help women prepare for Raksha Bandhan, while the usual ₹1,250 installment will be transferred between August 5 and 10, making a total of ₹1,500 available to each beneficiary this month.
