MP News: During the auspicious month of Sawan, the Madhya Pradesh government has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment. The government has announced several initiatives aimed at supporting and benefiting women in the state.
New Initiatives for Women’s Welfare
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts to empower women, highlighting that all their pledges are being fulfilled. As part of these efforts, eligible women under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Ujjwala gas connection schemes will receive gas cylinders at a subsidized rate of ₹450. Additionally, in celebration of Raksha Bandhan, eligible women will receive an extra ₹250 in August, in addition to a ₹1250 support package.

These initiatives are expected to significantly impact the lives of women in Madhya Pradesh by easing financial burdens and enhancing access to essential resources. The subsidized gas cylinders aim to provide relief from the high costs of cooking gas, while the additional financial support during Raksha Bandhan seeks to strengthen familial bonds and celebrate the festival with added joy.
