Enhanced Support for Families of Martyrs
In a compassionate move, the government has revised the assistance policy for families of police personnel who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty. The assistance amount of ₹1 crore will now be equally distributed, with 50% going to the martyr’s parents and 50% to the spouse. This ensures that the support reaches all immediate family members, recognizing their collective loss and contribution.
Massive Recruitment Drive
To strengthen the police force and ensure better law enforcement across the state, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a significant recruitment drive. Over the next year, 7,500 new police officers will be inducted into the force. This recruitment will not only enhance the state’s capacity to maintain law and order but also provide employment opportunities to the youth.
Improved Housing Facilities
Understanding the importance of good living conditions for its police personnel, the government is constructing 25,000 new houses specifically for police officers. This initiative aims to provide secure and comfortable housing, thereby improving the quality of life for police families and enabling officers to perform their duties more effectively.
Establishment of Police Bands in All Districts
In an effort to promote morale and ceremonial dignity, the state government has decided to establish police bands in all districts. These bands will play a crucial role in official functions and public ceremonies, highlighting the cultural and traditional significance of the police force.
