MP News: Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has restated her decision not to contest the upcoming assembly elections due to health concerns. During a one-day tour to Gwalior, she clarified her recent statement about life’s challenges, explaining that the media had misunderstood her remarks.
Yashodhara Raje praised the remarkable performance of athletes at the MP Games and indicated that the state would establish new feeder centers based on data analysis.
These centers would provide young athletes with a pathway to join sports academies
Her earlier statement about life’s challenges, made in Shivpuri, was meant as encouragement for schoolchildren, she clarified. She emphasized that her own political journey had been challenging, despite her status as the daughter of Rajmata, and she urged schoolchildren to face challenges fearlessly.
Regarding the challenges faced by her relative Vasundhara Raje Scindia in Rajasthan, Yashodhara Raje stated that Vasundhara Raje was actively addressing those challenges and they should not be viewed negatively.
Yashodhara Raje cited her ongoing health issues and lack of time for recovery as reasons for her decision not to contest the assembly elections. Her busy schedule, which includes involvement in the Khelo MP Games and World Shooting events, as well as contracting COVID-19 for the fourth time, contributed to her choice.
