MP News: PM Modi Inaugurates ₹435 Crore Public Welfare Projects in Madhya Pradesh on ‘Swachhata Diwas’

MP News:– On the occasion of ‘Swachhata Diwas,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation for ₹435 crore worth of public welfare projects under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and ‘AMRUT’ scheme for Madhya Pradesh. During the event, PM Modi also inaugurated a 100-ton capacity Bio-CNG plant at the model Gaushala in Gwalior.

In connection with the Prime Minister’s program, a ‘Swachhata Diwas’ celebration was held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal, where various development initiatives were launched. These included the foundation laying for 19 development projects worth ₹250 crore under the Swachh Bharat Mission and AMRUT scheme via video conferencing. Additionally, 125 CNG vehicles for door-to-door garbage collection were flagged off for Bhopal Municipal Corporation.

As part of the event, dependents of 26 municipal employees who passed away in the line of duty were handed compassionate appointment certificates. Outstanding municipal officials were also honored with state-level awards for their exemplary work under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024.’

In recognition of their efforts, a sum of ₹62,45,000 was transferred to 2,115 sanitation workers of Ujjain Municipal Corporation

In recognition of their efforts, a sum of ₹62,45,000 was transferred to 2,115 sanitation workers of Ujjain Municipal Corporation, which received excellent ratings in the 2022 Swachhata Survey. The newly inaugurated projects and awards are expected to accelerate urban development and cleanliness efforts across Madhya Pradesh.
