MP Weather Update: A weather disturbance, influenced by western disturbances, cyclonic circulations, and depressions, has triggered a series of rainfall and thunderstorms across Madhya Pradesh. In the past 24 hours, heavy rainfall has been reported in several districts, including Guna and Ratlam. Today, Tuesday, alerts for rainfall and thunderstorms have been issued in 12 districts. During this period, hailstorms are also likely in some areas. Wind speeds of up to 50-60 km/h are expected.

Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms Expected in 12 Districts

In Bhopal, temperatures may range from a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius. Short spells of rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, are also anticipated.

Today’s districts under alert for rainfall and thunderstorms include Jhabua, Dhar, Badwani, Khargone, Dewas, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, and Seoni. These areas may also experience hailstorms and winds with speeds reaching up to 70 km/h.

Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is possible in Alirajpur

Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is possible in Alirajpur, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Indore, Shajapur, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori, and Balaghat districts.

An orange and yellow alert for rain has been issued in several districts, including Betul, Khandwa, Badwani, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Pandhurna, Harda, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, and Chhatarpur. This weather pattern is expected to continue until May 16.

According to the MP Meteorological Department, the influence of western disturbances, cyclonic circulations, and trough lines will continue to bring moisture-laden winds from the southwest and southeast directions for the next three days. Wind speeds of up to 50-60 km/h are expected during this period. However, a weakening system may lead to changes in the weather pattern next week, potentially intensifying the heat. The Gwalior-Chambal region may experience the effects of heat waves starting May 17.
