MP Weather Update: The next five days will bring about a substantial shift in the weather in Madhya Pradesh. From Chhindwara to Burhanpur, the state’s Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms. In addition, most districts are under a yellow and orange alert for thunderstorms and severe winds through June 6.
Recent Weather Conditions
Light to moderate rainfall has been reported in a number of districts during the last 24 hours, including Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, and Chambal. Cloud cover was also seen at Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Sidhi, Khandwa (East Nimar), and Neemuch. There was no rain, but Panna and Sidhi could still see the influence of the clouds. Rainfall was observed in Singrauli, Katni, Datiya, Raisen, Burhanpur, and Anuppur, however.
Cyclonic Influence Over Madhya Pradesh
A cyclonic disturbance that has affected the whole state is predicted to diminish soon. IMD reports that the weather is being influenced by two cyclonic systems at the moment. The events have caused the IMD to issue yellow and orange advisories for thunderstorms and rain in several areas of Madhya Pradesh; significant rain is expected on June 3, and 4.
Weather Forecast for the Next 24 Hours
In the upcoming 24 hours, districts such as Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Badwani, Dewas, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datiya, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Katni, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, and Tehri may experience thunderstorms with light rain. Gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are also expected during this period.
Hailstorm Warnings
There is a possibility of thunderstorms with hail in several parts of western and eastern Madhya Pradesh over the next few days. The IMD has issued a yellow alert, indicating the potential for hail in some regions. Heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are expected in parts of Singrauli, Sidhi, Umaria, Chhatarpur, and Tikamgarh districts.
