MP Weather Update: Currently, the monsoon season is in full swing, with heavy rains sweeping across Madhya Pradesh, particularly in regions like Gwalior, Chambal, and Sagar. The Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a continuation of heavy rains for the next 24 hours in these areas. However, a change is expected on August 28, as the new weather system responsible for the current rainfall will become less active. Consequently, there will be a temporary cessation in the rain, leading to an increase in both daytime and nighttime temperatures.

Rainfall is anticipated in 10 districts of the state

Over the next 24 hours, significant rainfall is anticipated in 10 districts of the state. These districts include Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Panna, and Chhatarpur, where moderate to heavy rain is likely. On the other hand, 16 districts are not expected to experience heavy rainfall, with the possibility of only light drizzles.

A notable aspect is that several districts in the state have received less than 20 inches of rainfall. Among them are Bhopal, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Datia, Bhind, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Damoh, Sagar, Tikamgarh, and Niwari. Conversely, there are districts that have witnessed substantial rainfall. Narkshahpur district leads in terms of ample rainfall, while Narsinghpur has received more than 41 inches of rain. Seoni follows with 37 inches, Mandla-Jabalpur with 35 inches, and Dindori with over 34 inches of recorded rain.

Monsoon season is currently intense in Madhya Pradesh

In summary, the monsoon season is currently intense in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in certain districts, with heavy rains expected to continue for the next 24 hours. However, a temporary break is predicted from August 28 onwards due to reduced activity in the new weather system, leading to rising temperatures.
