MP Weather Update: The past three days of continuous rainfall have led to a decrease in both daytime and nighttime temperatures in the state of Madhya Pradesh. After l, Narsinghpur has also received its share of much-needed rainfall.

Rain was reported in 20 districts

On Wednesday, rain was reported in 20 districts, including major cities like Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur. Similar weather conditions are expected on Thursday, with intermittent rainfall anticipated in Bhopal and Jabalpur throughout the day.

Bhopal, in particular, had experienced a dry August, with the entire state of Madhya Pradesh facing poor rainfall performance. Bhopal recorded a rainfall deficit of 38 percent for the month, receiving only 519 mm against the normal average of 840 mm.

The current weather conditions are attributed to a low-pressure area, which is expected to persist over Madhya Pradesh for the next 4-5 days before moving eastwards.

An alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Khargone and Barwani districts in the Indore region, which had previously been experiencing dry conditions. Intense rainfall is also expected in Burhanpur, Narmadapuram, Dhar, and Dewas.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhopal has forecasted rainfall in 31 districts across the state, including major urban centers like Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur.

While light rainfall activity is anticipated for today, more substantial rainfall is expected to commence tomorrow and continue over the state.

For the month of September, the region has received 175.6 mm of rainfall, with 23 mm recorded in the last 24 hours. This is expected to significantly alleviate the seasonal rainfall deficiency.
