According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the active western disturbances on February 29 and March 1 are likely to impact the weather in Bhopal, resulting in changes in the coming days.

The rainfall on Tuesday, exceeding 15 millimeters, provided relief from the rising temperatures. Before the rainfall, the temperature had increased to 31.8 degrees Celsius, which was 6 degrees higher than the previous night’s temperature of 16.8 degrees Celsius. The last record-breaking rainfall in February occurred in 2014, with 47.9 millimeters in Bhopal. Although the rainfall on the following day was minimal, it still set a new record for the highest rainfall in the last nine years.
