Now discord in Madhya Pradesh Congress too, challenge to Kamal Nath’s claim before elections

Before the assembly elections, after Rajasthan, the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh also seems to be trapped in internal discord. While Madhya Pradesh Congress is projecting Kamal Nath as the CM face on social media platforms and some workers have put up hoardings describing the state Congress chief as the future chief minister, some party leaders have said that the face of the Chief Minister will be decided after the elections,The party’s former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh said on Monday that it has been the tradition of the Congress that the party does not declare the face of the Chief Minister.

Before Ajay Singh, the party’s state in-charge JP Aggarwal and former Union Minister Arun Yadav have also given similar statements. Meanwhile, Kamal Nath also said on Monday that he has achieved a lot and now he is not looking for any post.

“No one in the party even says that he is the future Chief Minister”

Ajay Singh said during the discussion with the reporters that it has been the tradition of the Congress that the face of the Chief Minister’s post is not announced in the party. The central leadership and the legislature party choose the chief minister. He said that no one in the party even says that he is the future Chief Minister. He can only be described as a future MLA. Earlier, Arun Yadav had also said that the face of the Chief Minister’s post is not declared in the party. The Chief Minister is declared only after a meeting of the Legislature Party and then in consultation with the central leadership.

Hoardings have been put up at many places

Ahead of the state assembly elections later this year, such hoardings have been put up at many places in the state capital Bhopal, in which Kamal Nath has been displayed as the future chief minister. The internal politics in the Congress has intensified regarding these hoardings. After the victory of the Congress in 2018, Kamal Nath became the Chief Minister. However, his government fell after a rebellion by the Jyotiraditya Scindia camp and Shivraj Singh Chouhan returned once again.
