A few days before the end of the year 2022, MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has surprised the youth associated with sports by making a big announcement. The CM has said in his announcement that the sportspersons of the state who won medals in the Olympics and Asian Games will be appointed as DSPs and Deputy Collectors.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan made this announcement when he was felicitating the sports talents of the year 2020 at the Madhya Pradesh Shikhar Khel Alankaran ceremony at Ravindra Bhawan.
During this, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur was also present in the program. Earlier, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur also unveiled the logo of Khelo India Youth Games 2022.
Assured to provide job in state police force as well
Citing the example of Vivek Prasad Sagar, hockey player of the Indian team who won bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics, being appointed as Deputy SP, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided that medal winners in Olympic and Asian Games will be appointed as Deputy SP and Deputy Collector will be appointed to the post.
The state government has also decided to appoint 10 outstanding sportspersons as sub-inspectors and 50 as constables in the police force. It has been decided to give five lakh rupees annually for coaching to teams or players who perform well and win medals in Khelo India.
International stadium is being built in Bhopal
The CM said that the state government will gradually develop sports infrastructure at the village level as well. In MP, infrastructure facilities are being developed at the district, block and panchayat level to create an environment conducive to sports.
The state government is constructing an international level stadium at Barkheda Nathu in Bhopal. He expressed his wish in front of everyone that I want Madhya Pradesh to become the number one state in sports as well. To achieve this goal, we will leave no stone unturned in organizing the Khelo India Youth Games.
At the same time, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur praised the shooting and horse riding academies of MP Sports Department and called them one of the best academies in the country. Under the Khelo India program, a budget of Rs 3195 crore has been made available for five years by the Central Government. 1000 Khelo India centers are being opened in the country. Of these, 750 have already been approved. Work on them will be completed by August 15 next year. Anurag Thakur while praising Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that she was the only one who was present on both the days in the conference of Sports Ministers of all the states in Kevadia, Gujarat.
