Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh and lay the foundation stone for projects exceeding ₹50,700 crore during an event in Bina, according to an official statement. These projects encompass a petrochemical complex at the Bina refinery and ten new industrial initiatives across the state.

The Bina refinery, to be developed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at an estimated cost of ₹49,000 crore, is expected to produce approximately 1,200 Kilo-Tonnes Per Annum (KTPA) of ethylene and propylene, essential components for industries such as textiles, packaging, and pharmaceuticals. This development aims to reduce India’s import dependence, aligning with the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India).

These projects are seen as significant drivers for industrial development in Madhya Pradesh, providing employment opportunities and fostering growth in downstream petroleum industries.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for ten additional projects, including zones for power and renewable energy manufacturing in Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a large industrial park in Ratlam, and six new industrial areas throughout the state.

In addition to the Madhya Pradesh visit, Prime Minister Modi will address a public rally in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district. He will dedicate rail sector projects valued at around ₹6,350 crore during his trip to the Congress-ruled state. Furthermore, he will initiate the construction of 50-bed ‘critical care blocks’ in nine Chhattisgarh districts as part of a healthcare initiative by the Central government.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh follows the launch of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Paivartan Yatra’ (March of Change), which aims to challenge the ruling Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls at the end of the year.
