Schools Closed In Madhya Pradesh Districts Amid Cold Wave

Cold wave continues to wreak havoc in many districts including Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Keeping this in mind, the administration has asked to keep all schools from nursery to eighth grade closed. Schools in Indore will remain closed till January 9 and in Bhopal till January 10. Bhopal Collector Avinash Lavania issued an order last night and informed about it. A day ago, the minimum temperature of Bhopal was 7.4 and the maximum temperature was 19.8 degrees.

Apart from Indore-Bhopal, there will be a holiday for schools in Sehore and Vidisha on January 6 and 7. Here too schools have been asked to remain closed from class nursery to class VIII. On the other hand, the collector of Burhanpur has also changed the time in government and private schools to 9 am.

Less hope of relief from cold

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cold winds coming from Jammu Kashmir and Uttarakhand, there is severe cold in the state. There is little hope of getting relief from it. Western Disturbance is coming in Jammu Kashmir and Uttarakhand on 7th January. Due to this, after the snowfall, cold winds are expected to increase the winter in the state.

According to the latest update, the new system will be active from January 7. Westerly winds will enter the northern areas of India via Iran, Iraq from Afghanistan to Pakistan. From here moist cold winds will come to the plains. Due to this, it may remain cloudy on 7th and 8th January. There may be a slight rise in day and night temperatures. Then, as soon as they leave, a rapid drop in temperature will be recorded.

Minimum temperature 2.8 degrees

With the beginning of the new year, the cold has also increased in Madhya Pradesh. The minimum temperature here has reached 2.8 degrees. The lowest temperature has been recorded in Naugaon of Chhatarpur. In Datia, Khajuraho, Gwalior, the mercury goes down to 4 degrees at night. Except 7 cities of the state, the temperature in all the rest is below 10 degrees. In MP, there was effect of cold wave in Datia and Chhattarpur on Thursday. Severe cold day in Dhar, Khandwa, Chhindwara and Datia and cold day in Guna, Gwalior, Sagar, Chhattarpur, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Umaria, Rewa, Ujjain, Ratlam, Indore and Bhopal districts.
