Tourist Safari To Be Allowed From Feb In Kuno National Park: MP CM Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that more leopards would be brought to the state’s Kuno Palpur National Park soon. Eight cheetahs brought from Namibia were released into the park in September last year as part of an ambitious project to reintroduce the country’s extinct cheetahs. Addressing the closing ceremony of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention here, Chouhan said that the Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) participating in the program should visit tourist places in Madhya Pradesh, including the Tiger Reserve.

He said, you come from February to see the cheetahs. We will allow the travel of tourists from February. Chauhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi paved the way for bringing cheetahs from Namibia. Also, he said, more leopards are being brought from South Africa. The Chief Minister said that NRIs should set up a helpline for students of Madhya Pradesh and other parts of India studying abroad.
