Maharashtra Accident: 26 people have dies and many injured after the bus catches fire on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway in Maharashtra. The bus was carrying 33 passengers and it was going to Yamatval to Pune. The incident occurred around midnight and injured were shifted to the nearby hospital. The driver of the bus sustained minor injuries and the accident happened due to a tyre burst. Authorities will use the DNA Testing Method to identify the bodies.
CM announces compensation of 5 Lakh Rupees
The authorities have announced a compensation of 5 lakh rupees for the relatives of the victims. The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also ordered probe into the accident. He also spoke to the Budhana SP and enquired about the unfortunate accident and asked him to provide immediate help to the victims and the family.
Eyewitnesses recall horrifying moments during the mishap
Some eyewitnesses also claimed that some people were sleeping when the accident occurred. They couldn’t realize what has happened when they heard the people screaming and bus rolling down. The injured admitted in the hospital say it happened in seconds and there was fear and chaos all over. We had thought we won’t survive.
