‘Maharashtra Will Have a Maha Vikas Aghadi Government…,’ Says NCP (SCP) Leader Clyde Crasto; Confidence or Over Confidence?

Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: Following the announcement of the dates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections by the Election Commission of India, NCP-SCP leader Clyde Crasto expressed confidence in the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s (MVA) prospects. Speaking on the development, Crasto said, “Finally, the dates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections have been announced… We are well-prepared and the Maha Vikas Aghadi is a very strong unit.”

MVA’s Confidence in Public Support

Crasto highlighted the coalition’s work for the people, emphasizing the strong public support they received during the recent Lok Sabha elections. “The public proved that they want the Maha Vikas Aghadi to come into power as they voted for us,” he stated, reflecting on the coalition’s past electoral successes.

Opposition to the Mahayuti

The NCP-SCP leader also voiced the sentiment that the public does not support the Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP and its allies, for the upcoming elections. “The public does not want the Mahayuti to come to power,” Crasto said, expressing his belief that the people of Maharashtra will choose the Maha Vikas Aghadi to form the next government.

With the election campaign gearing up, the Maha Vikas Aghadi, a coalition of the NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena (UBT), is set to challenge the ruling alliance in a contest that promises to shape Maharashtra’s political landscape.
