The Maha Vikas Aghadi, a coalition comprising the Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress in Maharashtra, has reached an understanding regarding the division of seats for the upcoming elections. After an extensive three-hour meeting, Sanjay Raut from the Shiv Sena expressed optimism, stating that the parties are united and have discussed each constituency’s allocation.

“We will be the first state to announce seats… The Shiv Sena may have split, but the people are with the Uddhav faction, and the same with the NCP… We will be together for the elections,” remarked Ramesh Chennithala, senior Congress leader and the Congress’s state in-charge.
Salman Khurshid, representing the Congress at the meeting, described the discussions as heading in the “right direction.” He expressed satisfaction with the communication between the parties, calling it an “excellent meeting.” When asked about the possibility of collaboration between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, Khurshid emphasized the need to be firm and move forward.
