AAP 2nd Candidate List: The stage is set for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leaving no stone unturned in its preparation. On December 9, the ruling party released its much-anticipated second list of candidates, fueling the election buzz even further. This move is part of AAP's efforts to solidify its position ahead of the highly anticipated February elections. With some surprising shifts in constituencies and new faces joining the party, let's delve into what this second list has in store.

Key Changes in Constituencies

AAP has shifted some prominent leaders to new constituencies. One of the most notable changes is the shift of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Sisodia, who has been a key figure in the party, will now contest from Jangpura instead of his current constituency, Patparganj. This change is seen as part of AAP’s broader plan to strengthen its reach across different parts of the city.

Similarly, Rakhi Bidlan, a prominent AAP leader, has also witnessed a change in her constituency. She will now be representing a new area, signaling the party’s effort to diversify its leadership across Delhi. In an interesting development, educator Avadh Ojha, who recently joined the party, has been given the Patparganj seat, further demonstrating AAP’s embrace of fresh talent.

Although the party’s seat tally dropped slightly from the 67 seats it won in 2015, it still emerged as the clear victor. In 2025, AAP aims to retain its stronghold by balancing the experience of established leaders like Sisodia and Bidlan with the fresh perspectives offered by new entrants like Ojha and Shunty.
