Uttarakhand: Officials have been notified that a large bronze “Om” statue, weighing 60 quints, will be erected at Gol Plaza in Baba Kedarnath Dham. The District Disaster Management Authority has successfully established this number during a trial. As soon as the required work is finished, it will be put permanently, according to officials.
Craftsmanship Behind the 60 Quintal Bronze Om Statue
The 60 quintal bronze statue of Om was crafted in Baroda, Gujarat. Copper will be used to weld all four sides. Using a Hydra machine, the District Disaster Management Authority and PWD successfully tested the installation of Om Aakriti in Gol Plaza. According to Vinay Jhikwan of the executive body, welding with copper would be done from all four sides in order to totally secure the shape of the wool.
Safeguarding Om Statue from Snowfall
“Also, in addition to the main portion, the edges will also be safeguarded to prevent harm from snowfall. In a week, the Om statue will be permanently erected, according to EE Vinay Jhikwan. District Magistrate Rudraprayag Mayur Dixit predicted that the placement of the Om statue would further enhance the Kedarnath Gol Plaza’s splendour. The DDMA is taking the necessary steps to create the Om Aakriti, according to Mayur Dixit.
