Party national coordinator Akash Anand was a well-known figure in Mayawati’s 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign. The party office bearers were present at a crucial party meeting today when the seasoned leader made the announcement.

Mayawati’s Stance on Dynastic Politics

Mayawati, who has always been a fierce opponent of dynastic politics, named her nephew Akash as national coordinator and her brother Anand Kumar as national vice president of the party in 2019. Akash, 28, started his political career in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. He was pictured with Mayawati and other prominent BSP leaders on multiple occasions.
