Amid the rising Covid-19 cases in the national capital, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Mayor Shelly Oberoi said that MCD is fully prepared for any eventuality. She said that all the MCD hospitals are fully equipped with facilities required to tackle the deadly Covid-19.
She said that Delhi has enough reserved beds and oxygen cylinders, and tests such as RT PCR and rapid antigen are also being conducted.

Shelly Oberoi and her deputy Aaley Mohammad also said that the government hospitals are ready to tackle the resurgence of the virus. She also assured that the same level of preparedness has also been implemented in MCD hospitals and health institutes across Delhi.
The MCD had also released an advisory on March 23 even as the Covid-19 symptoms are now not severe with patients recovering in just three-four days.
Speakers at the meeting included House Leader Mukesh Goyal, who emphasised that the MCD is stepping up preparation in the hopes that the virus won’t be as lethal as it was in earlier rounds.
Delhi fully prepared, says Delhi CM Kejriwal
Last week, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that Delhi is fully prepared to after a review meeting with the top officials on the Covid-19 situation in Delhi. He said that there is no need to worry, assuring the city government was taking all required steps.
He asked the citizens to follow all the necessary guidelines laid down by the Central government. He also added that patients who have Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) would be given masks at hospitals.
“Patients who have ARDS will be given masks when they reach the hospital. They will be tested as well,” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief said.
