Atishi, Mayor Oberoi interact with Parents
Atishi and Mayor Shelly Oberoi on Saturday interacted with parents and children at MCD schools in DDA flats at Kalkaji and Indira Kalyan Vihar. The main objective of the meeting was to bridge the gap between parents and teachers with a focus on improving learning ad performance.
“Under the leader of the chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, education become our top priority, resulting in all Delhi government schools becoming excellent. Here, children from all sections of society are receiving world-class education. Now, we are bringing similar changes to MCD schools and working towards making them world-class too,” Atishi said.
MCD principals training at IIM
To ensure the imparting of the best quality education to MCD schools’ students, principals have been sent for training at IIM. “Chief minister believes that when teachers receive world-class exposure, they can provide world-class education to children. Under AAP’s governance in MCD, positive changes in schools are already visible within a few months. We will continue working at double the pace in the coming years to completely transform MCD schools. Soon, the day will come when there will be long queues outside MCD schools for nursery class admissions,” she said.
MCD schools lacked attention in the past
Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi said that the previous government did not pay any attention towards the betterment of education. Schools were often neglected for the past 15 years, she contemplated. “But the current government priorities education. They will uphold every parent’s trust.” she added.
