Meerut News: Days after the Court had given the nod for the brothels in the Meerut Flea Market area to open conditionally, the brothels have finally opened today in the Red Light area. Some Traders of the area had filed a petition in the court stating the area belongs to them and not the sex workers staying there. The sex workers had promised that they will not involve in indecent activities and live there peacefully with their families.
Sex Workers Promised not to indulge in Prostitution
The Sex workers have taken an oath that there wont be any sort of Prostitution in the area. There was a Huge Police Deployment in the area when these brothels were opened today. The Police had removed the seals of 15 brothels out of the 70 brothels. The brothels were opened in front of the traders and Police officials after submitting the affidavits.

There was huge crowd gathered during the opening of the brothels. The High Court had ordered to seal the 70 brothels in the Red light areas of Meerut’s Flea Market after a petition was filed by the traders. Around 400 Sex Workers used to live in these brothels. The court had passed the order to open 15 brothels after receiving a report from both the Police stations.
