Meerut News: As the construction work of the much anticipated train the Rapid X train comes to a close, the date of inauguration of the train is likely to be announced after the G20 summit. 50 Percent work of laying track of the train from Duhai to Meerut has been completed. Electric work is also finished in this section. Once the track is laid, the Rapid X coaches will come from Gujarat for the trials. The length of the section from Duhai to Meerut station is 25km. 750 pillars have been made till the Meerut station.
Track Laying work will be finished soon
Of the 50 km track on both lines, track laying work has been completed in more than 30 km stretch. The track laying work will be finished in the coming days. The train may become operational on the Primary segment after the G20 summit. The date of the announcement may be out soon. The 4 stations of the train are ready.
NCRTC Chief inspected work progress
The NCRTC chief took a stock of the construction work yesterday. The chief enquired the work progress of Murad Nagar, Modi nagar South, Modi Nagar North and Meerut South stations. The NCRTC chief rode on a trolley and inspected the work done so far.
