Meerut News: Following the conclusion of the Grap-3 pollution control programme, the Meerut Development Authority has resumed its efforts to tighten the screws on illegal colonies. According to Meda VC Abhishek Pandey, the goal is to destroy 100 illegal colonies by December 31st. 150 illegal colonies were destroyed prior to this. On a war footing, action will now be taken against unauthorised colonies and construction. In this regard, the administration and police have already been notified.

MEDA Website Lists 366 Illegal Colonies in Meerut

The website of the Meerut Development Authority (MEDA) features a list of 366 illegal colonies that are constantly expanding throughout the city. In the course of the last six months, the campaign has resulted in the demolition of about 150 illegal colonies.

Meerut Resumes Anti-Colony Drive After GRP-3 Removal
