Meerut News: Dr Meenu Gupta’s garden is not only a mere garden it’s a hub for many medicines also. Dr Gupta has been planting many medicinal plants in her garden which can be used as medicines to cure many diseases. She has over 300 plants in her garden out of which 80 plants are medicinal plants and they are used to cure different ailments. Other plants are oxygen based plants which generate oxygen in the environment. Dr Gupta was the head of department of Botany in the RG PG girls college meerut.
Dr Gupta decided to pursue her Hobby Post Retirement
After retirement Dr Gupta decided to plant medicinal plants in her kitchen garden. These medicinal plants can cure asthma, cancer, bone healing, and healing wounds also. There are plants that can be used to cure fever and headache also. Hathjod plant which helps in joining bones and Vidhara vine for healing wounds.
Dr Gupta also won many awards
Apart from pursuing her hobby for gardening, Dr Gupta also wrote a book in the year 2016 . Her name was registered in the Prakriti Foundation for collecting Medicinal plants. She has also received Bharat People Ratna Award She has also won the title best book 2023 for her Modern kitchen garden.
