Meerut News: Now Commuters will be able to reach Meerut to Prayagraj in a span of 8 hours. 40 percent of construction work has been done on the Ganga Expressway between Meerut to Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. 12 pillars have already been built on the bridge. The pillars of the interchange are ready and the expressway will pass through 12 districts. The expected time to finish this project is by the end of the year. The construction work is going on in 12 packages. 18 flyovers and 8 bridges will be built on the 594km long Ganga Expressway.
Distance between Meerut and Prayagraj reduced to 8 Hours
A 3.5 km long Airstrip is also built for the Fighter Planes of the Air Force to take off and land. The project is going at a fast pace and is likely to finish on time. The expressway will also have the bridge over two important rivers –Ganga and Ramganga. Through the expressway, the distance between Meerut and Prayagraj will be completed in 8 hours.
Maximum speed on the expressway is 120km/ Hr
With the help of the Expressway, the rural areas and villages situated on the banks of river Ganga will benefit. It was built by the UP Industrial Development Authority. The maximum speed has been fixed at 120km/ hour.
