Meerut News: The Meerut Metro production plant in Savli, Gujarat, hosted the unveiling of the first trainset. The metro trainset has been given to NCRCTC with the unveiling. The goal of the Meerut Metro project is to give the people of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, access to a contemporary, safe, and effective transportation system. This metro’s trial run will shortly begin as well.
Attendance of Key Individuals
This programme was attended by a large number of individuals, including Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of NCRTC. This programme also revealed the trainset’s first appearance. Hardeep Singh Puri, the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, joined the event virtually. He stated that India is encouraged to quickly accomplish its goal of creating the second-largest metro network in the world by the outstanding progress we have made.
Capacity and Convenience
There will be a lot of contemporary gear on this trainset. The metro train would have amenities including automatic train protection, automatic train control, and automatic train operation. This train will have the capacity to accommodate 700 passengers at a time. Passengers’ convenience will also be catered to at this metro train’s stations. At each station, doors equipped with platform screens will aid with crowd management.
Based on the information obtained, this corridor will include thirteen stations. The stations of Modipuram, Modipuram Depot, Bhaisali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurali, Meerut North, Modipuram South, Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmpuri, and Meerut Central would be included in this 23-kilometer circuit.
