Meerut News: Before the Kumbh-2025, the UP government intends to build the Ganga Expressway, which will connect Prayagraj and Meerut. The construction company has been explicitly asked by the Uttar Pradesh Motorways Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) to do this. The government has finished the land acquisition process in order to expedite the construction of the motorway.
Meerut Leads the Way
Along with the work of land acquisition in Meerut city, the purchase of land has also been completed by deeding the land. Meerut is first in acquiring the land required for the expressway. Along with the acquisition here, the sale deed has been completed and the process of deed and transfer has been submitted to UPEDA.
Successful Land Purchase for Ganga Expressway
Let us inform you that 180 hectares of more than 1100 farmers’ private, agricultural and other natural land spread across nine villages in the Meerut district have been purchased for the Ganga Motorway project. In this, the farmers received prompt payment of over Rs. 600 crores. A letter has been sent to the DM by Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri Hari Pratap Shahi. According to DM Deepak Meena, the sale deeds have been filed to UPEDA and the procedure for obtaining the property needed for the motorway has been finished.
