Atiq Ahmed: Following the murders of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj by three assailants posing as media personnel, the Centre will create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the safety and security of journalists. According to sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will take up the SOPs.
