Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav has made a quirky prediction, suggesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi will shift abroad after facing defeat in the General Elections of 2024. He also added that the Prime Minister is looking for a sanctuary board. His remark came after he was requested to comment on PM Modi’s ‘Quit India’ jibe at Opposition which formed a new bloc ‘INDIA’ a few days ago. The Prime Minister had accused the newly formed coalition of corruption, nepotism, and appeasement in politics.
‘Modi is planning to quit’
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said it’s Modi who is planning to quit after BJP’S loss in upcoming elections. This is the reason why he is visiting so many countries. He is looking for a place where he can cool his heels and enjoy pizzas, momos and chowmein,” he said.
PM Modi’s ‘Quit India’ remarks
PM Modi recently cornered the Opposition’s united front, giving the call, “corruption quit India, dynasties quit India, appeasement politics quit India.” The Prime Minister also attacked INDIA as the ‘most directionless’ the country has ever seen, referring to the East India Company and India Mujahideen.
Opposition Reacts
Reacting to PM Modi’s remarks, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Call us what you want, Mr Modi. We are INDIA. We will help heal Manipur and wipe the tears of every woman and child. We will bring back love and peace for all her people. We will rebuild the idea of India in Manipur.”
“They hate the word ‘India’ now. But there is ‘India’ in the government of India, Prime Minister of India also. Prime Minister Modi, who gave words like Start Up India, Digital India, Make In India, Khelo India, has started hating India today,” AAP MP Raghav Chadha said reacting to PM Modi’s jibe.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said while “we are talking about Manipur, which is burning”, the prime minister is “talking about East India (Company) and saying I.N.D.I.A means East India (Company)”.
Kharge also added, “the slaves of the British were the political ancestors of the BJP. Prime Minister Modi, stop diverting the country’s attention with your rhetoric. Modi-ji, speaking about Manipur in Parliament does not belittle the dignity of the Prime Minister’s post by calling INDIA, that is Bharat, good or bad.”
