MP budget session: The budget session of Madhya Pradesh commenced on Monday where Governor Mangubhai Patel reiterated that chief minister will continue to share the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in making the state self reliant. The paperless budget of the state will be presented on March 1. It will mark the last budget of Shivraj Singh Chouhan as elections are to be held in the state by the end of this year.
MP committed to become self-reliant: Governor Patel
The Governor, in his address, shared that the MP will continue to walk hands-in-hands with the Union government in making India prosperous, self-reliant and developed.
“My government is committed to the hilt to achieve the goal of a self-reliant MP. The Global Investors Summit 2023 (held in Indore last month) was a milestone. Investment proposals to the tune of Rs 15.42 lakh crore came in, which speaks volumes of the investors’ unwavering faith in the state government’s industrial police and work culture,” PTI quoted him as saying.
Governor Patel further said that the state is working tirelessly in keeping its family of 8.50 crore citizens as one family.
Congress to oppose paperless budge
Congress leader Govind Singh told media that he would oppose the paperless budget of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. Jitu Patwari and Kunal Chaudhary of Congress, on the other hand, came to the Assembly complex with a plough, and said that it was to show unity with distressed farmers.
