MP News: “She is dead to us,” The father of Anju, who flew legally to a remote town in Pakistan‘s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and converted to Islam before marrying her Pakistani partner Nasrullah, declared, “I have nothing to do with her.” She changed her name to Fatima after becoming a Muslim.
Anju’s Father Reacts to Her Transformation and Pakistan Marriage
“She is dead to us. I don’t have any updates about her and she can do anything as we have nothing to do with her. I have not talked to her for the past one year,” said Anju’s father. “How could I have a bond with a woman who not only left her husband but also her children?” he asked. Anju’s father responded that it didn’t matter to him if she died or not she returned to India once her visa expired. The Madhya Pradesh town of Tekanpur is home to Anju’s father, who previously described her as “mentally disturbed and eccentric” but unattached. She should not have gone to Pakistan without telling anyone, he added. The nikkah of Anju (35) and Nasrullah (29) was certified by Pakistan’s Malakand Division Deputy Inspector General Nasir Mehmood Satti, who added that the woman had adopted the name Fatima after converting to Islam.
Anju’s Pakistan Marriage and Her Family’s Wishes
According to the police, the pair came before the district court in Dir Bala in front of Nasrullah’s family, law enforcement officers, and attorneys. The woman was taken by police from court to her new in-law’s house for security reasons. Notably, Anju was married while she was still in India. Arvind, Anju’s husband, who is currently in Rajasthan, hoped that his wife would soon return. They have a boy who is six years old and a daughter who is fifteen.
