MP News: Heartbreaking Cruelty! Man Brutally Kills Puppy in Shocking Incident, Jyotiraditya Urges CM Shivraj Chouhan to Take Action

MP News

MP News: Yesterday, a man in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, reportedly killed a puppy by viciously beating it. It was an incredibly cruel incident. The animal had just come to sniff at the man while he was sitting in front of a store, and the man had no mercy for it.

The Horrific Incident Unfolds Outside Guna Storefront

The gruesome images were caught on camera outside a Guna storefront as the man, seated there, lifts the puppy and throws it to the ground. The heinous deed continued. The puppy is said to have died when the man gets up and crushes it with his foot. The mother was not with the three puppies that were found on the streets.

Union Minister’s Condemnation

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, described the event on X as “horrifying and disturbing” and stated, “There is no doubt that man should be penalised for this barbarism.” India asked Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, to investigate the incident. “Deeply disturbed by the horrifying incident. Swift and strict action will be taken to ensure justice is served. We unequivocally condemn such acts of barbarism, and the individual responsible will face the consequences,” stated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in response to the heartbreaking event.

Legal Consequences Assured

“We unequivocally condemn such acts of barbarism, and the individual responsible will face the consequences,” Chouhan added. The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act of 1960 makes cruelty to animals a crime. The penalties range from a short jail sentence to a lengthy prison sentence or both. The six-decade-old law has been the target of increased reform demands from activists who want longer prison sentences for acts of heinous cruelty and animal killing. A maximum sentence of two years in prison is stipulated in the current legislation.

Government Initiative

Last year, the Centre drafted a request for public feedback on proposed changes to the law that would have given offenders harsher punishments and longer jail sentences. It was anticipated that the bill would be introduced in the Lok Sabha during this year’s monsoon session.
