MP News: In a horrifying event, a man in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, opened fire on his neighbours following a dispute about pet dogs, resulting in two fatalities and six injuries. Rajpal Rajawat, a security guard at a bank who lives in the city’s Krishna Bagh Colony, has been named as the culprit. The event happened on Thursday night, and as a result, the accused was taken into custody.

Meanwhile, a video of the horrifying shooting has gone viral on social media, showing Rajawat firing shots into the air before pointing his gun at the street below. Sharing more information, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrendra Singh said, “The altercation started when Rajawat was taking his pet dog for a walk in Krishnabagh Colony area. His dog started fighting with another canine owned by Rajawat’s neighbour, which triggered an argument between the two dog owners.”
Gunman Fires Shots From Terrace Amidst Heated Quarrel
The official said that Rajawat walked to his house and shot two bullets into the air from the terrace before turning his gun on the people on the road below. Their quarrel had become so heated by this point. Later, according to him, Rajawat was detained and his 12-bore double-barreled gun was taken. Talking to news agency ANI, the DCP said, “Rajpal, a resident of Krishna Bagh Colony, got into an argument with some neighbours in his colony over pet dogs. As the argument escalated Rajawat went to the roof of his house and fired in the air and then at people standing below.” Six people were hurt and two people died in the shooting, the DCP continued. “Of the eight people who were shot, Rahul and Vimal Achala both passed away immediately. Six of them were hurt and are receiving medical attention at a hospital, according to DCP Singh. One of the two fatalities, Vimal Achala, owned a hair business in the Nipania district of the city.
Indore Shooting Investigation Underway
Singh asserted that there had never been any animosity between Rajawat and his neighbour and that the dog fight resulted in the firing event. Police are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Rajpal Rajawat, the accused, is employed as a security guard at a nearby Bank of Baroda branch. Along with his son Sudhir and another relative, Shubham, Rajawat was detained. According to the police, a murder case has been launched against him.
