Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023: There have been reports of a Naxalitarian IED explosion in Chhattisgarh‘s Gariaband district. This resulted in the martyrdom of an Indo Tibetan Police Force (ITBP) soldier. The Gariaband district’s Bade Gobra hamlet is where this incident happened.
Timing of the Explosion
The explosion happened while the Gariaband district was holding polling for the second round of assembly elections. Although sufficient security measures have been put in place at the voting places in case there is a disruption of any type, this occurrence is now becoming public knowledge. The police department has verified the IED explosion.
Casualty Information
In this event, the police officer’s statement has surfaced. According to the official, a head constable of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, who was manning the polling station, was killed on Friday in the Gariaband area of Chhattisgarh by a landmine explosion set off by Naxalites. We would like to inform you that twelve Naxal-affected seats were also used for voting during the first phase. There were a few instances of clashes between security personnel and Naxalites during the voting on November 7.
