Noida News: Numerous projects are gaining traction in the district with the development of Noida Airport. In Greater Noida, a Film city is also planned. The Chilla Elevated Road, which is being constructed to go to the film city, will also pick up steam under this circumstance. For the development of the Chilla Elevated Road, five businesses have expressed interest.
Commencement of Paperwork Examination
The examination of these companies’ paperwork has commenced. The code of conduct caused the work to stop. In the ensuing fifteen to twenty days, the financial bid will open. By the end of this year, construction on the elevated road can resume if the company is chosen in this tender procedure.
In November 2023, the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation released a call for bids to construct the Chilla Elevated Road. This year’s February saw the opening of the tender. Four of the six companies that had taken part in it were removed during the scrutiny. Out of the two firms that made it through, one offered a bid of Rs 828 crore, while the other offered Rs 917 crore plus 25 lakh.
Setu Nigam attempted to negotiate a lower bid from the corporations, but they were not prepared. This tender was finally released. Applications for the tender were accepted from companies until March 30. Because of the code of conduct that was in place at the time, the tender was not opened.
End of Code of Conduct and Tender Opening
Now that the code of conduct has ended, the tender has been opened. Five companies have expressed interest in building the elevated road, per the information the authority obtained from Setu Nigam. These companies’ records are now being looked upon. In ten to fifteen days, the document review process will be finished. The financial bid will then be made available. The company whose file has been submitted for construction at the lowest possible cost will be moved forward.
Timeline for Commencement of Work
Even if the company is chosen through this bidding process, according to Noida Development Authority officials, it will take five to six months for the work to begin immediately. Under such circumstances, work can begin by year’s end. According to officials, Delhi would get this elevated route constructed from the vicinity of the Chilla Regulator to the Mahamaya Flyover. Its length will be 5.96 kilometers. Setu Nigam would be in charge of building it, and Noida Authority will be in charge of oversight.
